Are you a skilled Network Infrastructure/Cisco Engineer looking to join a dynamic and innovative team in the heart of Inverness? Our client, a leading technology company, is seeking a talented individual to contribute to their growing network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain complex network infrastructures, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network issues promptly to ensure optimal performance and availability.
  • Configure and manage Cisco networking equipment, including routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), switching technologies (VLANs, STP), and security features (ACLs, firewall policies).
  • Collaborate with IT teams to integrate network infrastructure with other systems and applications.
  • Stay updated on the latest network technologies and industry trends.
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Proven experience as a Network Infrastructure/Cisco Engineer.
  • Strong knowledge of Cisco networking technologies and protocols.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Equipment List:
  • Survey Kit: This will include essential tools for on-site assessments, such as a cable tester, tone generator, and fiber optic tools.
  • 5G Mobile Phone with EE SIM: This will be used to test 5G signal strength and coverage in the area.
  • EE 5G Router: This will be used to establish a 5G connection and test network performance.
Additional Equipment:
  • TP-Link Router (SoGEA & FTTP Circuits): This router will be used to connect to various internet connections, including SoGEA and FTTP.
  • TP-Link Media Converter (EAD Circuit): This device will convert electrical signals to optical signals for fiber-based connections.
  • Dual-LC-Dual-LC Fiber Patch Cable (EAD Circuit): This cable will be used to connect fiber optic devices.
  • TP-Link 1000BaseSX SFP (TL-SM311LM) (EAD Circuit): This SFP module will be used to transmit data over fiber optic cables.
  • 4-Way Extension Lead: This will provide additional power outlets for various devices.
