Responsibilities:
- Utilise your comprehensive understanding and experience with Microsoft platforms, including Exchange Server, Active Directory, SharePoint, and Windows Server operating systems, to design and maintain robust and scalable solutions.
- Demonstrate a strong knowledge of Storage Area Networks and backup systems to ensure data availability and disaster recovery readiness.
- Develop and maintain IT disaster recovery plans and business continuity solutions to safeguard against potential disruptions.
- Showcase your excellent and demonstrable knowledge of PowerShell automation to streamline and automate various IT processes.
- Configure and maintain Cisco network equipment, investigate complex LAN / WLAN / WAN issues, and resolve networking challenges promptly.
- Implement and manage servers in clustered VMware or Hyper-V virtualised environments for optimum performance and efficiency.
- Apply your comprehensive understanding of IT security across network, server, and application layers to safeguard the organisation against potential threats.
- Experience of working with both on-prem and cloud environments - migration experience from on-prem to Azure would be great.
- Demonstrate experience in implementing and managing cloud-based platforms and services, particularly Azure, to leverage the benefits of cloud computing.
- Utilise your experience with Cisco Unified Communication VOIP platform to enhance and support communication solutions.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide technical solutions and support various infrastructure initiatives.
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve and optimise the organisation's infrastructure.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an IT Infrastructure Engineer or a similar role with hands-on experience in the technologies mentioned above.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft platforms, automation (ideally PowerShell), Storage Area Networks, backup systems, Cisco networking, and virtualisation technologies.
- Strong understanding of IT security principles and best practices.
- Experience of working with both on-prem and cloud environments - migration experience from on-prem to Azure would be great.
- Experience with implementing and managing cloud-based platforms such as Azure.
- Familiarity with Cisco Unified Communication VOIP platform is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex IT issues efficiently.
- Relevant certifications in Microsoft, Cisco, VMware, or other related technologies are a plus.
