Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of infrastructure engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure the successful execution of projects and tasks.
- Design, implement, and manage Azure-based infrastructure solutions, including virtual machines, networks, storage, and security configurations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect and deploy scalable, resilient, and secure cloud environments tailored to meet clients' business needs.
- Develop and maintain operational procedures, documentation, and standards to ensure consistency, efficiency, and compliance with industry regulations.
- Monitor infrastructure performance, availability, and security posture, proactively identifying and resolving issues to minimise downtime and mitigate risks.
- Drive automation initiatives and leverage DevOps practices to streamline processes, improve deployment speed, and optimise resource utilisation.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Azure technologies, trends, and best practices, evaluating their potential impact on our services and recommending strategic improvements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven experience (5+ years) managing infrastructure operations within a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment, with a focus on Azure cloud technologies.
- Strong expertise in designing, deploying, and managing Azure infrastructure services, including VMs, networking, storage, and security solutions.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Azure CLI) for infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and orchestration.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and security principles, with experience implementing and maintaining secure cloud environments.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator, Azure Solutions Architect) preferred.
- Experience with other cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud) and hybrid cloud environments is a plus.
