A client of ours is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager with expertise in structured cabling to drive growth and expand our presence in the market. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in structured cabling solutions and a proven track record of success in business development.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the structured cabling market through market research, networking, and lead generation.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key clients, including IT companies, contractors, architects, and building owners.
- Collaborate with technical teams to understand client needs and develop tailored structured cabling solutions.
- Lead the sales process from initial contact to closing deals, including preparing proposals, negotiating contracts, and managing the sales pipeline.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and regulations related to structured cabling.
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to promote company services and generate leads.
- Work closely with marketing teams to develop promotional materials, case studies, and other sales collateral.
- Provide regular reports and updates on sales performance, market trends, and business development activities to management.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management, with a focus on the structured cabling industry.
- Technical knowledge of structured cabling infrastructure, including copper and fibre-optic systems, networking protocols, and industry standards.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and objectives.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other sales tools.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
