Job Title: Business Development Manager (Structured Cabling)
Location: Birmingham
Salary: £45-55k + Benefits (dependant on experience)

Job Description:

A client of ours is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager with expertise in structured cabling to drive growth and expand our presence in the market. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in structured cabling solutions and a proven track record of success in business development.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the structured cabling market through market research, networking, and lead generation.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key clients, including IT companies, contractors, architects, and building owners.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to understand client needs and develop tailored structured cabling solutions.
  • Lead the sales process from initial contact to closing deals, including preparing proposals, negotiating contracts, and managing the sales pipeline.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and regulations related to structured cabling.
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to promote company services and generate leads.
  • Work closely with marketing teams to develop promotional materials, case studies, and other sales collateral.
  • Provide regular reports and updates on sales performance, market trends, and business development activities to management.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management, with a focus on the structured cabling industry.
  • Technical knowledge of structured cabling infrastructure, including copper and fibre-optic systems, networking protocols, and industry standards.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and objectives.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other sales tools.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
