Job description

Airborne Electronics Engineer
Fully onsite near Munich
3+ years of aerospace engineering experience

We're proud to have partnered with a German company that unites med-tech, defense, and aerospace. They increase the chance of a patient's survival in warzones by lessening the time it takes to operate on an injured soldier. The company has introduced a flight system that consists of an uncrewed aerial vehicle, a truck-integrated control room, a trailer for logistics and service, as well as a digital backbone.

As an avionics engineer, you will develop cutting-edge airborne electronic systems that allow unmanned vehicles of several hundreds of kilograms to operate safely - even under the most difficult terrain. You will collaborate closely with neighboring disciplines to cover all relevant aspects, from supporting the system architecture development, including safety assessment activities, to safety-critical embedded software development for airborne systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Avionics HW and electronic circuits conceptual and detailed design with respect to DO-254/DO-160, simulation, and prototyping
  • Avionic components integration, wiring harness design, and manufacturing for the airborne and ground segment
  • Interface database management
  • Component supplier management

Qualification
  • Degree: Completed degree (Master) in the domain of aerospace engineering, automotive engineering, electrical engineering, or comparable programs
  • Experience: 3 years of practical experience in aerospace engineering
  • Method-Knowledge: Fundamentals of avionics, electrical systems, digital communication (CAN, ARINC, Serial), circuit design, DO-254, DO-160
  • Tool-Knowledge (mandatory): Microsoft Office, MATLAB/Simulink, Spice, Altium Designer
  • Tool-Knowledge (optional): SysML/UML, Polarion, B&R Automation-Runtime
